The Breville 800JEXL 2012 Review:
Although not exactly scientific, the first thing that drew me to the Breville Juice Fountain was the look. I just love the die-cast brushed metal body – It has that classic iconic look, almost a work of art – definitely suitable for use (and display!) in any kitchen setting, traditional or contemporary, even mine! (not exactly modern…)
On a more practical note – the 800JEXL is also designed to be extremely functional, and has only four main parts to be cleaned after juicing… and if you’ve owned a juicer in the past you’ll already know, the less cleaning the better!
You can simply wash the parts separately under running water (with the supplied cleaning brush) or pop the four parts into the dishwasher top shelf…“et voila!” cleaning made ultra simple…

By now you will realize the Breville Juice Fountain is really a professional grade machine – In fact the functionality of the design makes juicing extremely simple and therefore a pleasure, my first observation was just how (really) quick and easy the juice fountain was to use, even my friends wanted a turn…
Apart from ease of use, being die-cast the unit is also extremely robust, most recently I’ve seen the Breville Juice Fountain used in busy city juice bars (that get over 100 customers in a lunch hour), to me this made the choice easy because if I buy a product I want to know it’s going to last and not have to be replaced in year one!

A couple of things I like less with the Breville 800JEXL Juicer, are that at high speed the 1,000 watt motor is a little on the loud side, having said that it only takes moments to juice so no biggie I suppose, and conversely at the soft fruit /leafy vegetable (low speed) setting it spins at a whisper.
Also slightly annoying is when you remove the pitcher (after juicing) you may need to put a paper towel or something in place to catch the little dribble from the spout (unless you wash it straight away!) – but I guess in the whole scheme of things maybe I’m being a little over fussy, after all the Breville Juice Fountain Elite (800JEXL) is still considered to be …the best centrifugal juicer ever made!
